MY APPROACH
Looking at the
Bigger Picture
At Vital Roots Wellness, my goal is to blend health knowledge with actionable strategies. Rather than looking at one symptom in isolation, we explore the many factors that may be influencing how you feel—including nutrition, lifestyle, movement, stress, sleep, environment, gut health, and more. Our work begins with a thorough intake so I can better understand your health history, current concerns, routines, and goals.
The Key Areas We Exoplore
Lifestyle & Daily Habits
Sleep, movement, stress, routines, and everyday habits can have a meaningful impact on overall wellness. We’ll identify areas where realistic changes may provide additional support.
Nutrition & Nutrient Status
We’ll look at how you’re fueling your body, your eating patterns, and opportunities to better support your individual nutritional needs.
Gut Health
The digestive system plays an important role in overall health. We’ll explore factors that may be affecting digestion and discuss strategies designed to support a healthy gut environment.
Environment & Exposures
We’re exposed to substances every day through our food, water, air, household products, and personal care products. We’ll look for practical ways to reduce unnecessary exposures without making everyday life feel impossible.
Functional Lab Testing
When appropriate, at-home functional lab testing can provide additional information that helps us better understand areas that may benefit from support.
Your Environment Matters, Too
Every day, we’re exposed to a wide variety of substances through the air we breathe, water we drink, food we eat, and products we use. These can include pesticides, plastics, household chemicals, air pollutants, heavy metals, and persistent compounds such as PFAS.
The goal isn’t to live in fear of your environment—or attempt to eliminate every exposure. Instead, we look for practical opportunities to reduce unnecessary exposures while supporting nutrition, gut health, and the body’s natural processes.
